He loses knowledge of who he is because of being immersed fully in thinking about how compassionate God is. As an example, if God wanted to, He could have killed Ravana in a moment, but devathas put forth a request with God for Him to descend to the world as a human being, wage war against Ravana and kill him there in the warfield.

God accepted the request and followed it to the dot. He took birth as a human being, went through the pain of losing mother Sitha, searched for Her in pain, waited in pain to have Her located, waged war, fought for almost a month and half during which at times he got hurt. He also fell unconscious when tied by na:gapa:sa astra. He did not act, but He actually lived like a human being. All this is a mere act of compassion.
Great bhakthas like Hanuman constantly shed tears overwhelmed by God’s compassion. Scriptures say, one’s life is blessed if one can have darsan of such bhakthas…
- a:hla:da si:tha ne:thra:mbu,
whose eyes are filled with cool tears out of joy thinking of God
- pulaki:krutha ga:thrava:n,
who experience goosebumps singing the name of God
- sada: paraguna:vistaha,
constantly becoming the voice of God forgetting who he is immersed in the divine qualities of God
- drastavyaha sarva de:hibhihu…
one must have darsan of such bhakthas…
Such bhakthas see the end of rakshasas, evil forces, who think of causing any harm to those surrendered to God. Mother Sitha was waiting for Rama to free her from Lanka. Hanuman, the son of Vayu, warned everyone in Lanka about Rama’s arrival and to stay away from Sitha.

Where can you find Hanuman and what does he do?
Wherever there is a chanting of Rama nama, you can find Hanuman joining the gathering, singing along with them. We may not recognise him because of limited perception of the realities…
